Northwestern Mutual Financial Network representatives of the South Carolina Upstate Group offer access to the products and services of a world class company, including investments, estate analysis, retirement solutions, education funding, employee benefits and insurance.

Our Managing Director, Dave Ellison, has developed this organization to consist of professionals of integrity who are passionately dedicated to the financial security of their clients. Our representatives are well-educated, thoughtful and caring individuals who are not only residing in but also involved in our Upstate communities. As professionals they build lasting relationships with individual clients while giving back to their communities by providing leadership to many community organizations. All are graduates of four-year colleges or universities.

Dave Ellison joined Northwestern Mutual in 1981 after a five year banking career. He has a BA from Furman University and an MBA from the Clemson-Furman program. He has served or is currently serving on several community boards including the Furman University Board of Trustees; the United Way of Greenville County Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of Southern First Bancshares, Inc. His leadership positions include serving as past chair of the Furman Board of Trustees, past president of the Furman Alumni Association and past chair of the United Way's Palmetto Society. He was inducted into the Furman University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992. Dave is married to Frances DeLoache Ellison, currently a trustee of the Greenville Hospital System and they have three sons: Bill, a graduate of Princeton University; David, Jr., a graduate of Washington & Lee University and Joe, a student at The University of the South. Dave has earned numerous industry awards including membership in the Million-Dollar Round Table twenty three times since 1984. He is also a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
